What are the different types of massage?

Your therapist will always review your goals before treatment to help you determine the best option for you, so you don't need to be an expert in the types of massage.

Swedish
An all-over, soothing massage, perfect for anyone who wants full-body relaxation and stress relief. Massage pressure ranges from light to firm.

Deep Tissue
A sometimes intense, therapeutic massage, particularly helpful for relief from chronic pain (even old injuries), improved athletic performance, and faster recovery. Creates a deep state of relaxation.

Sports
Targeted massage used to improve athletic mobility, performance, and recovery. Depending on session goals, this can be combined with Swedish or Deep Tissue massage.

Trigger Point
Ideal for those experiencing pain and tension in specific areas. Focuses massage techniques on unbinding connective tissue to encourage healing, increase range of motion and stability, and flushing out toxins.

Corrective Care
Useful for those with chronic muscle imbalance and/or mobility issues, especially related to repetitive motions and poor posture. Techniques are designed to stimulate self-healing in order to restore muscle and tissue health.

Pain Management
A therapeutic massage aimed at helping reduce ongoing pain by relaxing over-tense muscles, relieving pressure on joints, and redirecting pain messages from overstimulated nerve fibers.
